I had a good crop of overwintering onions [Troy] from sets and have a good summer crop from seed.
These are just beginning to ripen off. But the leaves are being eaten by little beetley things. Should I cut all the leaves off like for potatoes with blight  and just leave them in situ or should I lift the whole lot [quite a lot] to dry elsewhere? Never had this problem before and was so proud of my first seed grown onions.....
I'm doing seed overwintering onions are they likely to be affected as i guess these things can fly.  ???
