Ok...I must be stupid or something..but this page.. http://www.jerseyplantsdirect.com/pitcher-plant-sarracenia-wrigleyana-1-9cm-pot ..claims that this plant is 'natural solution for getting rid of vine weevils'  ???

Correct me if I'm wrong...they are 'boggy' plants..like to have their 'toes' wet..so if you have plant standing on saucer of water or in pond edge..how is that going to get rid of VW? They are hardly going to do a swim to get into the flowers?

Is there something 'mystic' info  that I'm missing of ?

They're definitely bog plants. They eat all sorts, but in relatively small quantities, so they won't make any difference to your pests if you grow them outdoors as they seem to suggest. Slugs tend to eat them rather than vice versa; I don't get a lot of damage on mine, but the odd pitcher gets nibbled, and slugs don't fall down inside like insects.
