taking box cuttings

I have 2 plants I want to take enough cutting for a hedge next year found these instructions

I took some cuttings a few year ago from neighbour and found they root easily.   Not sure exactly when I planted them, but about the time the bush was clipped, think it was much earlier than August.

many thanks :) I am going to get some trays ready what soil did you use and did you use hormone rooting powder?

Actually I just stuck them in the ground.  In the shade so they did not dry out.

I've taken quite a few, in a very haphazard manner, different times of year, some with rooting powder some without, and they've all done well. Sometimes they dry out, other times too wet, one even got knocked out of the soil for a few days, after a storm, but it still kept going when put back in.

They're tough, I think. But slow growing though.
