Mint Problem

Last year, I started to grow some mint in a small bricked area, ideally suited to it as it wouldn't invade the area around it.

However, this year it has small orange spots on all of the stems and I have cut it down and tried to get it all out.

I would like to use this small area again for it, but is it safe to do so?

I think it may be a case of start from scratch as that sounds like Mint Rust which once it gets a good hold also infect the soil.
I would suggest you google it to get more info.

Thanks very much Davy.

I'll do as you suggest and hope I'll be more successful with it next time.
