It has been so wet that the Robin Hill Spring Garden show on the I.W.has been cancelled. Now all gardeners have a pair of wellies, but because the lorrys etc. cannot get on site, they have to cancel the show. If by chance any of you were visiting, make a note.

If this drought goes on much longer we will be growing rice in paddy fields and getting webbed feet. I hope it gets dryer soon as the local morris dancers get up early on May morning to dance in the May, sometimes I am there to play the old squeezebox but I might learn some new tunes this year more suitable for syncronised swimming ;D

Here's ACE in his prime dancing the May in years ago.

2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

It was just too wet for me, I let the younger ones get on with it. The outfit does shine a bit in the photo but it was made from cotton material and was styled on a traditional gardeners smock with real smocking. I wanted black but it should have been an unbleached colour. Unfortunately it shrunk ;) over the years and no longer fits like it did 30 years ago.
