Just spent an hour trying to figure out why my 150W soil warming cable in th eGH wasn't functioning properly... although I could hear the thermostat click it wasn't lighting up.... after a massive chase around with the voltmeter it turned out it's working fine, but the neon indicator had a broken leg.... so it wasn't lighting up.... bypassed it for now, as far as I can tell it's going fine (will check later when I go down to put the heating on)... but a big phew.....
