Please can anyone tell me the correct way to clean my lap top screen.
I am supposed to be writing the minutes of a meeting up and the screen is horrible and it is distracting me- ( ok I do not like writing meeting minutes so easily distracted ;) )

There are various smears, blobs and marks of unknown origin, however I have a cold at the moment and  I do  have hay fever  in the summer, also reading some  of Ace's posts over breakfast may have caused part of the problem.
While I am at it the key board is grotty too  ;D
Any ideas please :-*

you can get special wipes for cleaning screens but a general glass cleaner on a soft cloth should be ok. just don't overdo the cleaner or press too hard on the screen.

re the keyboard - a gentle hoover may get rid of some of the crumbs and then a wipe over with a damp cloth when the laptop is powered off may clean it a bit

Hope that helps.

I just got a laptop back from our science dept - Some pupil had drawn mens bits in permamarker on the screen.  I got it off but in the right light you can still see it!

Any more comments like the ones above and  I will be forced to moderate my own thread and move it into the watershed ;D ;D ;D

In the end I got some damp kitchen roll and gave it a gentle wipe, the lap top that is ;)
