Spinach from home-saved seeds defies the slugs!

Just gotta boast a bit. Plus I'm amazed at how resilient it's turned out.

Sowed some autumn home-saved spinach seed in large tubs in the greenhouse during September as part of winter salad production experiment. It sprouted quite happily but razed to the ground several times before Christmas by those dinky sligs you don't always spot.

Anyway thought it all was pretty much a gonner as only some stalks left. But recent warmth has made these 'stalks' produce lots of new shoots.

Here's hoping I get to eat it!
