Has anybody watched this...what did you think?
Sadly I missed the first part of the series..but I did watched it last night and again today in Iplayer....looove it.
I find it all very fascinating..yes, its all in books..but its always presented so boring way and this has the history put together with the science...and its simple enough.. ;D
If could have seen this program about 30 yrs ago..my schooling would have taken totally different path I think.
Looking forward for next week...hopefully the first episode will be repeated sometime soon.

Darn it, Thanks for the heads up I missed both but last nights is still on Iplayer.
I wish the Radio Times wasn't so full of junk so we didn't miss seeing things like this ???
Thanks for the Heads up  Goodlife (you can come off the naughty step now) ;D ;D ;D

Thanks for that.  ;D
Strange i had a conversation this morning with OH. I said it's not fair there are so many programmes on animals and the only really good programme about plants was 'The life of Plants' so long ago now. He said 'who wants a programme looking at plants they don't do anything'
>:(

Here here, thanks for the heads-up Goodlife - I'll be having a look too.

Bearing in mind the amount of keen gardeners in the UK, there simply isn't enough programmes for us in my opinion (allotment programmes in particular).

I'm still hoping that the BBC/UKTV will eventually get round to making another series of 'the Big Dig'...

The OH accidentally wiped my copies off the SKY+ box...just ever so slightly gutted!

I e-mailed the BBC and UKTV months ago to ask if there were any plans to ever repeat it, but no response... >:(

bah!

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

I've just decided to check out The Horticultural Channel as last itme  I ooked ther was not much happening, and it seems to be up and running again. :)
Also look out for Beechgrove on BBC Scotland starting up.
