How long do the seeds remain viable for? I have a packet which is four years old, what do folks reckon?

I'm sure some should still germinate. After all..how many plants would you really need?

Gosh! That was quick! Thanks, I just wanted to check, you can never have enough thyme IMHO, pun intended...

Careful if you have little ones... my youngest was always getting stung for standing on "drunk" bees in bare feet...  :-X

I sowed a 1998  :-[ :-[ packet a couple of years back and was able to edge my herb bed in thyme as well as give masses away!

I wish you every success.  I have a woeful record with thyme the are one of the few seeds at which I am a total failure.

And I go so love cooking carrots in foil in the oven with apple juice (wine) with thyme and rosemary.

Even the pots from the supermarket die on me.
