.....that they'll dispatch perishables with a v. short sell-by date?

Do you think that a delivery of 8 individual trifles with a b/before date of 2 days hence is acceptable?

Sainsbu*gs operator thinks it is "well they're not expired, are they? You've nothing to complain about."
???
(not happened to me, btw, but to that poor laydee, victim of the lift repair rip-off merchant I heard today.)
But.yoiur own experiences, please. Had she visited the store there is NO way she would have bought 8 with such a short shelf life - is this common practice?

I have never had a problem with Sainsburys, I guess it is down to the person doing the shopping for you

Petera

We used to use Sainsburys, now use Asda find them better and cheaper.

Can't remember the last time we went to a supermarket and did shopping, for what it costs for delivery it is well worth it, although they  sometimes  get some of our items wrong, but so what I love Caviar at Mackerel prices   :)

Wimmen on a Mission are a Force to be reckoned with ;)

While I was having my new funky haircut & colour(s) this morning, I not only sorted out my laydee's chair stairlift probs but also, she now tells me  after I phoned Customer Services on her behalf this morning, she's just taken delivery from Sainsb*gs of a bunch of flowers and a polite letter regretting the inadvertent delivery of 8 bl**dy trifles which should have been put on the 'reduced for quick sale' shelf, an apology for the rudeness of the staff member who handled her call - and a credit for the amount the trifles cost against her next bill.
