As I have a rather large beard, the trouble with eating corn on the cob is about two to three weeks later when the butter in your beard starts to go rancid.   I don't mind it of course, but the memsahib.  .  .  ::) .  .  .Cheers,    Tony.

Thanks for that Kev, did two last night, naked in the microwave and must say they were very yummy. Better I think than boiled.  Wasn't sure if they were ready but they obviously were, must pick some more, must say some things have failed but the sweetcorn seems good this year.

I leave the leaves on mine in the microwave, keeps the steam in, and I think it adds to the flavour.  Can be a bit uncomfortable on the old fingers cutting them off when hot though.

Got some Lark in Wyevale yesterday looking forwards to them next year.

Got some to cook tonight... from the shop  :(  How long do I cook them in the mic?
Now a member of the 10 Ton club.... (over 10 ton per acre)    2013  harvested 588 Kg from 165 sq mt..      see my web blog at...  http://www.gavinconway.net

I used to put them for 5 mins but Corneykev says 2, so I put two wwith leaves for 6 mins and they were fine.  From shop they will be a bit drier so I would say slightly less.
