The yellow one is golden rod. It's got its place in gardens, but it seeds all over the place, and it's a weed on my plot.

the first 2 are hemp agrimony, Eupatorium cannabinum No don't get excited, it's just the shape of the leaves   ;D

the last one is a common toadflax

The goldenrod is Canadian goldenrod and the remaining white flower is White melilot

Thanks again for your help, it's very much appreciated. Canadian golden rod eh? I wonder how that got in there. And I won't try smoking any of them.  :)

I find Canadian goldenrod quite often during my botanical surveys in urban/urban fringe areas.  I think it often establishes from dumped garden waste

we have our own native goldenrod, but it;s not too common

when the goldenrod starts flowering, foe me that's a sign to get a move on, the summer won't last forever

It often seems to me that nature takes a bit of a breather in July ,then gets a second wind in August.

Local authorities, developers, landowners, companies looking to expand works, etc.  Usually planning related or identifying and monitoring important habitats.


Pure coincidence but today I found several large stands of Canadian goldenrod whilst surveying, also found some quite nice (for being urban fringe) neutral and calcareous grassland

The last pic is lovely, i have some of those in my garden but not yellow, pink 1's & some white 1's popped up yesterday.  they have caused quite the conversation on my plant id thread.  I'ld love some of the yellow 1's in my garden though :0))
