You're very late, but no harm done. You may end up with rather small plants.

Nero di Toscana carries on through the winter so you may find it a useful plant come spring if you sow now. It's only going to take up space you'd not be using anyway in all likelihood.

Russian Red you should get away with late sowing..but you won't be cropping them until spring then.

Fantastic. I love Kale, so that will be super. Never tried any except green kale...so looking forward to this :)

I purchased some Kale Black Tuscany today because the packet says you can sow up to August for salad leaves.

Yes that's what I did in the first year with Tuscan black kale - but it's not my idea of salad to be honest. Bit chewy!

Those plants were small in the winter but shot up in spring and lasted through a second winter before going to seed. We were all sick of kale by then!  ;D

I like Vates for a late planting, variety is shorter and very winter hardy.. actualyl although I do grow a few different ones I find the shorter ones are more hardy than the tall ones personally.
