Is it just me or do  you hate going through all the process of putting in your name and address etc etc only to find out after several pages that there is an additional charge.  I think it should be clearly stated beforehand.

OHH...god rant in brewing.. ;D
Yes..its irritating....often I want to know about postage before I decide if I want to order..but to go through 'imaginery' order first to find out cost of postage..GRRR... >:(
I think any decent company should provide details for costs and charges before hand...OR...at least put them on display in such a page that it can be easily located...sometimes they are like 'small print' end of some page that haven't got any relation for the subject. ::)

You are not alone Diggeroo ;D ;).

If postage and packing is not included in the price of an item which has to be sent to you. Don't buy it.

Years ago I worked for a 'mail order company' and can honestly tell you that in loads of cases the added on costs of delivery, packing and insurance exceeded the cost of the item being sold. It was all cheap stuff from parts of the world where people worked a 12 hour shift for a bowl of rice a day.

So, you get the option of returning the goods which are unsuitable (at your own expense) but since you have already paid for them. They do not care.

Often people who returned goods forgot to get a receipt for their return and being unable to prove they had sent the stuff back they ended up paying for the goods too.

NOT always an intentional fraud by the company concerned, sometimes it was poor record keeping by under trained, underpaid non enthusiastic staff who were there for a temporary period either because they were students, between proper jobs or housewives getting extra cash for Christmas.

I hope things have changed but probably not.

Personally, I stick to personal shopping in shops.  If I can find any in the high street these days.

I am not saying that they should not charge P&p but that they should tell you how much it is sooner.  I do not want to have to put in my email addy and my home addy  and set up an account first.

I hate shopping.  I hate drifting round looking for things, not knowing what choices I have in my size.   Having to look at small labels to find what they are made of.  I hardly buy anything from shops.

I have got some good bargains from online and also sent back products.  What do you get in a shop probably an assistant who knows little of the product.   Much better the online reviews.

I purchased some fruit trees off the tele, which have either died, or havent grown properley. They will refund me the money or send me soem replacement trees, but only if I agree to pay the 2nd lot of P &P!!!

How can that be? If the product isnt fit for pourpose, why should I have to pay ANYTHING again?

That does not seem right to me.  I should have thought that ff the goods are faulty you should expect a replacement free of p&P.  I think I would talk to trading standards about that.  I have had some replacement strawberries from a company and they did not ask for more P&P.   I would fight this one.

I think they are now called Comsumer Direct.

If the supplier does not make their delivery costs known at the start of their  on line ordering system then you can be  sure that there is a lack of honesty.

I never use any company which is not totally honest.

Test with a dummy order first.
