Hello all,

I want to move my rhubarb and gooseberries away from my new shed so that I can use the bed next year for other things, probably a seedling area.  Both cropped well this year and although the rhubarb wilted in june its now starting to recover. The gooseberries have been striped by sawfly and I don't think they've been pruned for years.

Can I move them now, or will that kill them?  If not, can I take cuttings from the gooseberries?

If the answer is no - when can I move things about?

I do not think it a good idea, leave till october time. :-\

If old/ large gooosegog may not be worth moving, maybe try semi-ripe or hardwood cuttings. Otherwise hand in pocket time :-\

Certainly wouldn't try to move them now.
If you want the space for next year, then move them Aut/Winter and they'll have a much better chance of survival.
Lat year I took semi-hardwood cuttings from gooseberries and had over 60% take, so thats another option.
