runner beans again

hi still having no success with my runners. do sparrows eat the blossom before it opens. someone said they do and thereare alot in the hedge around my plot ???
I have started more in pots now about 6" high they will be going in araised bed i am building with lots of farm muck etc . lovely and sunny here have a brilliant day all peter the old git !! :o

Not a problem I've had... and we are a very "woody" site...
mine are still in the packet though  :-X  :-[

Could it be flowers were not pollinated and dropped off? no problems here, beans half inch long
