Hi
for the 1st time ever I've managed to grow and eat peas (properly like!), but I notoced today some odd colouration/patches on one batch of peas (I think it is the variety Telephone)

here's a couple of gory pictures (not the best cos I took them with the camera on my phone).

Can you clever folks tell me what it is and what to do?!

Thanks 1066  :)

Bit hard to tell but it could be Pea Thrips they cause little white/grey lines or dots

The second one looks like a leaf miner to me... take off and burn the affected leaves.  :-\
Some peas do have a natural white/grey streaking in the leaves but those look like they have been tunneled. If your peas are at the podding stage I'd just ignore it myself...  :-X

thanks for the responses

is this any better?

and yes the peas are at the podding stage.......

To me i think it is Thrip as there does not appear to be enough tunneling for the Leaf minor, but the important thing is to get the infected leaves off on burnt
Perhaps if you do a search Thrip images and Leaf Minor images you may get a better idea

Thanks Davy, much appreciated. Have looked at images and it does look like Thrip. Will get rid of the infected leaves asap
