Leeks or spring onions???

I have a tray of each, grown from seed. Unfortunately my kitten, Jazz, has decided the little white sticks with the name on are great toys and has knocked them all out.

Can anyone suggest how I could tell the difference? They look and smell identical!! ???

Leeks will have flatter leaves... onions more cylindrical...  :)
