To fill a rough patch?

I`ve got a little patch of ground behind my shed that is really rough, full of rubble from an old building and gets little light. It was full of brambles which I`ve mostly dug out (I hope).
Can you think of anything sort of attractive that I could plant there to keep my plot looking decent?

Climbing nasturtiums? I think you've still got time to plant them, and they sprawl all over everything.

Thanks! I can imagine they`d look really pretty!

Oldhippy, you may find climbing nasturtiums try to take over the world/or next doors plot...My  ordinary ones are travelling quite well here [29p Lydl]. They do like some soil though. I've tried dryish rubble without a deal of success... :-[

Oh right! Thanks - One to remember. Although the patch doesn`t border a neighbouring plot. It`s against the field hedge.

How about a THORNLESS Blackberry?
