Has anyone set up a drip watering system from a large container or water butt?
If so can you tell me what kind of connector you used to connect the container to a hose/tube? and where is the best place to get it from?

Ok scrub this question I've found the answer while I was searching for the right description  8)
However I will post in case someone else is also looking.

There is an easier way just using a siphon. See this page :- http://www.growyourown.info/page20.html

Yes, for a decade or more I watered tomatoes in my folks 8x6 with a waterbut set up on bricks just high enough that I could get a watering can under the tap and I used Gardena drip-system stuff.... an 8x6 with about 15 plants in it seemed to be happy on around 80 litres a day....

Same here I used a water-butt high enough to create enough pressure for a drip feed system when I grew my tomatoes, all the components for this kind of system can be obtained at B&Q, :)
