Are Shallots treated in the same way as Onions when you harvest them, :)

In a word yes, When the leaves turn and begin to die back I loosen the bulbs and leave them for a couple of days then I lift them and hang then on my chain link fence to dry out, Afterwards I string then up like ordinary onions.
