Sea weed spray.

Just watching GW & Monty sprayed his box hedge with sea weed spray. Would it help a privet recover from Winter any quicker?

I have just done all our box balls and hedging, as I mixed up too much I gave the purple pittosporum hedge  a foliar feed with it. We don't have any of that common privet stuff but I don't suppose it will hurt.
