Well i had spectacular success growing carrots in a glass fibre bath filled with multipurpose. And believe me, it takes a LOT of multipurpose compost to fill a bath. Loads of carrots, big , chunky and no diseases or pests.

So the question is, how much of the compost do i have to get rid of to replant the bath with more carrots ? OR could i switch to a second bath and grow something else in the first bath, then alternate every year.

What goes well in compost carrots have been in ?

Nothing is ever as it seems. With appropriate equations I can prove this.

It was spectacularly successful, i made a tent top out of debris netting. Nothing got to the carrots. I might scrape off the top nine inces and renew that with plain multipurpose and no added ferts, if they like rubbish to grow in :D
