28 postmaster

I have just this minute had 28 emails from postmaster. They all came at once.I reckon its something to do with the spam on here.

Hm have you opened any-I would advise against.
When I get e-mails downloaded I think Norton -or something is stoping some of them as I keep getting a message saying downlading 7 messages, but only one or two then pop up!which are prpoer e-mails.
Hope you have good protection, these people are such a pain >:(

Shirl I had that happen twice last year,my email account was hacked and everyone in my contact list had been sent a viagra ad ( yes everyone,clients,council allotment officer everyone) and the postmaster emails were because some of the sent ones didnt go through,due to people having changed email addresses,ie i had disused addresses still in my contacts. have you checked your sent box?

Although its very annoying all it really means is that someone is using your email address as a reply address on spam mail they send.  Thus bounce messages come back to you.  More than likely they got your address from someone you sent mail to at some point so I wouldn't worry to much about the spam on this site being to blame - they are two different forms of spam.  Obviously do a full scan with AVG and make sure it's up to date.  I run email servers and we get tons of this sort of thing - its a pain and very irritating but relatively harmless unless it gets completely out of hand..
