Amoroso Sprout seeds

One of my neighbours grew great sprounts last year.  This year most peoples are awful few have produced hard buttons.  But following the neighbours advice I also grew Amoroso and the results are brilliant.   I grew several varieites and it is the winner by a mile.  Bitesize are passable and the rest poor and most sprouts on site have blown big time.

But I can no longer find Amoroso in the seed listings.  Does anyone know where to get it?  It would appear that the Dutch company who held it on their list has been taken over by Monsanto.

which has some listed, though I've no idea how current it is. Might be worth an email (sprouts are indexed under cabbages)

Many thanks for the link Jayb.   Seems odd they describe it as a late hybrid since it was the first of mine to produce decent size sprouts and I have been eating the bottom ones for weeks.

I am over the moon found a company in Holland who has some and ordered several packets.  They have done so much better then any other variety that I want to have enough for some time.  Seem to be called amaroso just hope they are the same.

Postage expensive though.

I grew all F1 sprouts this year and have a good crop... grew old fashioned ones (Bedfordhsires adn Eveshams) last year and got almsot nothing apart from a handful off one of the reds .... this year seem to have loads of sprouts of 6 plants... will grow a few more next year cos I could eat these at every meal and given how I cook them (steamed in micro for about 2 minutes, they've got all the goodness left in them.... THem and celeriac are my stadnout late-season successes this year.... If I could jsut crack carrots and remember to mesh the leeks then next year I could go the whole winter without needing any shop veg..... ATM I think I'll trun out of leeks in Feb and I have to buy carrots.....
