Replacement wheelbarrow handles

The plastic endy bits of my wheelbarrow handles have perished and fallen off.  Don't fancy taping it up as will go all soggy in the rain.  So far no joy searching on t'internet for replacements.  Any ideas??

Well our handles fell off years ago. We depend on gloves instead but you can actually , if you care enoughwith waxed string and using a principle which is called  in sewing  blanket stitch wrap the string to make fresh handles.

Of course you could see if bike shops have handles the right size I suspect that if they do it will be around the price of a new wheel barrow to buy them

Get some pipe insulation (foam tubes) of the right bore (15 or 22mm) and some Evo Stik.

Glue some to the right spot (may require trimming along the split).

They will need to be bound each end - if you can find an old inner tube just a little smaller then it can serve as a cover - in several rings if necessary.

Or you could glue on some ribbon or whip tightly with gardening wire and twist off - or use jubilee clips.
