3 Year Waiting List!!!

I live in South Bham.

I have a few choices of allotments.  My first choice had a 2 year wait.  My second choice was 18 months.  My third choice - I called, there were 2 allotments available (one looked like the amazon), and so I took the other one.  Essentially once the paperwork came, and I viewed the allotment and payed it, it must have taken me only 1 week.

Cannot believe my luck with some people have to wait 5 years.  And my plot is bloomin big.

It really is a lottery as to waiting lists. In Stratford upon Avon the list was about 3-4 years. Here in my new location of north Norfolk I applied and was offered a plot within 2 weeks. We now have another plot as a few hadn't even been touched and we wrote to the council to advise them of this.
My only advice would be to get a group together and harrass, campaign the local council.

I thought they had a legal duty to provide allotment space if enough people wanted them ?
