Has anyone any experience of using neem oil to control aphids and red spider mite, or its use in general? It seems to be a cure all for many things not just for gardening.

I'm thinking of buying some to use next season and wonder what it works on best? Are there any downsides? I found this site  http://www.discoverneem.com/neem-bees-beneficial-insects.html which has answered lots of questions, but it would be nice to hear from someone who has used it.

Jayb - I have used it quite a bit to control blackfly and the like - seems to work well against most aphids.
I just put a teaspoon in a 1 lt spayer with a little soap to emulsify and use right away.  My 500 ml bottle will last for years at this rate.. Also good for hair lice!!

The one downside is aroma - Im not keen at all on the scent which does seem to linger..

Interesting, I hadn't thought about the smell  ;D  and thanks that's a great help, I was wondering how much to get.
Does it work on Cabbage white catapillars too?
