How I planned my garden!

I was ask about gardening planning in another thread. So plan on posting my method in several parts. 
this thread will be locked after each post to prevent unrelated comments I will take comments at end of the my planning 
Part 1.
Step 1 I divide the task into several sub-tasks.
1. I defined the important  dates of my season
   A. traditional frost dates
       1.  last spring frost  march 25
       2. first fall frost date Nov 13
   B. season length
        1. planting season length 231 days
        2. cold /under cover season  length 134 days
   C. fair and competition dates
       1.  fair entry date :tue wed last third week in august
       2. giant veg weigh off date first Saturday of October
part 2 next post will be about seed starting planting dates
