I have some PSB plants left and am thinking of giving them to a friend can they be moved now.  It is the first time in months that the ground is wet, up until now they have needed constant watering after planting out.

It really is quite late, but if the space is available, give it a go. You could get something!

Well yes to be honest they should be in place by now.

It could depend on their size, may be bigger ones will transplant if there is plenty of soil around the roots and they are held in place with a big stick.

However, at this time of year with everything dug up and being used you will have space. Even the greens gathered in the lean early spring months can make a plateful of something not too bad with a slop of good gravy

. At worst, compost it. Nothing wasted.

Yes I would be happy to give it a go but I do not want to give it to someone else if it will only succeed on a wing and a prayer they are new to allotments and it may put them off.
