I'm glad I'm not the only person who photographs large eggs. We have 4 bantams & one day there was a lot of noise & when I went out no wonder, one had laid a 56gram egg which is big for a bantams bottom ;)

rog_pete

this was 111g (3.9oz)

I wasnt there for the laying but the our neighbour said it was rather loud for a while! lol ;D

whats the world record?

That's twice the size of mine, is yours a proper chicken not a Bantam?

rog_pete

we have 8 girls, 4 Rhode Island Reds, a light sussex, 2 Morans and an Orpington (spell check)
they are all pure breeds, not bantams

I think its the RIR that laid this... had another of 107 grams today

I even took a picture of the egg in a dish ::) ;D. Sad or what?
