Asparagus

Hi,
A freind has decided to give up his allotment and has said that I can take anything i need including plants.
Very Generous!!
Question is can I dig up Asparagus ?? and replant??

I would have thought not....but definitely wait until the fern has died down before you try to move them. I am quite sure they would die if you moved them now, unless they are small and very young crowns, and even then they would be damaged.

You can, but it would be hard this time of year with everything so dry.
