The pics look like too much sun and not enough water, not classic signs of blight I don't think. Anyone spraying weed killer 'round your plot?
I had a few second earlies left over from planting so I put them in pots. A few weeks ago all the foliage died off from a couple of them. I moved them away from the other plants but left them in the pots. The foliage has now grown back and looks healthy  ::) I've never seen that happen before.

weedkiller!!! yes there are some people on my site who still use that!! Is it possible it has escaped from somewhere else and drifted onto my spuds? But why did the rest of the plants not get it?
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

The ground does look bone dry, I would say to much Sun, the spuds should be OK, but not many per plant and fairly small I would have thought.  ???     ;D ;D ;D

What's the variety, and what has the weather been doing where you are?

Quite  a few of mine look like the picture.  I am pretty sure that the people in the next allotment do not you weedkiller.  They went bananas when someone else used some.

I just thought it was too dry and the earlies natural dieing back.  I have some Majan gold and they are the only ones still looking fit and well.

They are RATTE variety, it is a long salad potato, a bit like a Pink Fir Apple. It has been bone dry and very hot here. they were mulched but a lot of that seems to have disintegated into the ground and I admit I did not add more. So just heat damaged? Whata shame, they are a gourmet potato and very expensive to buy  :-[
Oh well, just have to try again next year.
