We were supposed to get proper rain today, and it's turned into a little useless drizzle. I hope you're right.

We had some rain overnight here in West Yorkshire but nothing heavy! Its now drizzling at the moment and grey sky but at least its a lot cooler than it has been.
Forecast for week is supposed to be some more rain fingers crossed!
Would be nice to have rain at night and then sunny days but not too hot like it has been but that is too much ask for isn't it i suppose.
Does a hose pipe ban apply to allotments or not?

Hi Compo... technically hosepipebans do not affect allotments because it is "food Production" and they only apply to non-productive things like car washing and "gardens" meaning lawns and ornamentals. Your council/site may however ban them especially if where water is metered to keep down the costs..............  :-X

Will check with local council about their policy on lotti use of hose pipes.
As at moment the rain is falling but is still only light but seems to be in for the morning at least so will help!

it's been raining all morning in Leeds but it'll have to go some still to make up for the last few weeks - only problem now is me getting drenched at lunchtime!

No rain in Enfield, north London.  Just off to do some watering.

My patio paving was damp in places early this morning but the rain gauge had no more than two drops in it. Next rain forecast for this area is Wednesday. Please, please - let them be right for once!

No threat of a hosepipe ban here in the southwest - but having to top up my pond and water the veggies twice a week is getting very expensive!
