Things are very dry here

 The lawn and the sides of the roads are all now brown.  I have not seen the lawn so brown since 1976.  Luckily no sign of a hosepipe ban.  Water levels were very high after the winter.  Now we have to pay metered water not many people are watering their lawns.  We had another drizzle episode but no rain since 7th June.   

We luckily still have well water at the allotment.  But it is tiring shifting it about.   Seem to spend all  my time watering at the moment.

Dry here too - same story. We were promised rain today, but none has appeared, and I have this horrid feeling it's going to pass us by.
No hosepipe option here either now, since someone messed up the water system here, and I haven't got the money to sort it out. Couldn't have come at a worse time.
