Has anyone grown them this year?  If so are they doing well?

A plot holder told me they were blight resistant.

We have one that was mailed to us by a friend last week. It is just getting acclimated so too early to tell but I'm eager to taste it.

Matts Cherry is not blight resistant, this is a rumour, it has shown a bit of tolerance to it but that is all. XX Jeannine

Thanks for that Jeannine.  I don't think the plot holder who told me about them is going to believe it though but I wont bother to buy the seeds for next year now.

She made it sound as if this was the answer to my prayers ;D

Is that from experience Sinbad - I was going to try some this year but ended up with too many varieties.  Not worth a go next year??

I think they're worth a go as they are the last to succumb to the blight and a quite a good flavour.  Last year I still had to spray them though.

Many plot holders where I am, grow them now, but the site is dreadful for blight.

ive got matts wild cherrys and they are doing wonderfully so far

Big differences.. tolerant and resistant , here is where the confusion begins.

Matts by he way is an excellent tomato, love it, Ferline and Legend (the other one that is supposed to be resistant are terrible.)

I have wild cherry but mine are trees.  I have eight which I bought from the Woodland Trust together with ninety two other native trees.
