Can anyone explain

 my puter in the last 2 weeks has had to delete  "corrupt files" yesterday  was the 2nd time.
Can anyone tell me what this is please & why it happens. I have not had this come up before.  My puter is running very slow also at present ???

Could be your hard drive dying, or maybe just got a bit corrupted.

First thing, backup everying you need and then run the error checking...
My Computer > Right Click the drive > Properties > Tools > Check Now.

Also, if you drive is nearly full, worth deleting some stuff to free up some space.

Yes me puter is getting old now & uased an awfull lot so fingers crossed it holds out untill my son-in-law gets back from Canada.

In the meantime, could you copy your precious stuff (photos etc) onto disks, just in case the worst happens before your son gets back?
