Old lawnmower Help

Hi Peeps,
Ive just got an old push me pull you lawnmower from my aunt.
Its a suffolk Viceroy mark 2
Ant idea how to sharpen it ???

I know when my Ride on mowers goes in for a sharpening they sharpen the cylinders by backlapping, this involves applying a special paste and running the cylinders back words for a like while,

You can get a cylinder mower sharpener if you look online. It's a bit of metal with sand paper stuck to it that you clamp to the mower. Then you basically give it a good whizz round. If I remember right, it doesn't work with all mowers. Depends on the bottom plate. I have used sandpaper wrapped round a bit of wood, but I think that was on one of the really basic lightweight mowers. You had to watch your fingers.
     The gap between the blades and the bottom plate is important. If you get it just right the cut's much better. Is normally fairly easy to adjust this. Should be some sort of bolt on each side.
     Basically I don't think it's a very easy thing to do well. Certainly not quickly. But if you don't mind fiddling about with it it's worth a go. There are still some places who will do it for you, if you can find one.
