bit of a bonkers question, but if you had to rescue fruit trees from a jungle, and had to move them, could it be done? and what special care would you need to take? not sure of the variety but i think they said theyd been in the ground 3/4 years...  im guessing autumn would be the best time to move them if there was a choice but i dont think they can wait till then....
thanx for reading and for any replies xxx

if you move em while there fruiting its pretty traumatic for them, they might sulk for a while. Dig them out with the biggest root and soil ball you can. Also take a few bags of original soil to bed them down in at the new site. They should recover, they have plenty of time to reestablish.
Nothing is ever as it seems. With appropriate equations I can prove this.

If they're small, they shouldn't be too hard to move, but leave it till winter. It's quite possible to move this time of year, if you can give copious water every day for the rest of the season, but in a heatwave like this it's inadvisable to say the least.
