Flea beetle attack!  Help! I was away for four days and when I got back flea beetles had attacked all the cabbages, which now look brownish round the edges and full of minute holes.
What can I do?  I watered like crazy, but ANY idea to rescue the brassica crop is more than welcome!

(You were all great about liquid manure!)

Hmm...there is really not much to do now...they don't eat the whole thing down though....it is only some of the outer that normally gets affected and rest should be fine..although they don't make the plants look nice..I have never noticed that they would do that much damage that you would not get still perfectly edible veg.
Some years there is more of those little beetles about than others.. ::)..I would just breath deep..turn blind eye..and get your brassicas put more new growth on..it will be fine... ;)

Great!  What wonderful advice!  I'll give them some liquid manure and wait!

My pak choi suffered a disfiguring attack, but all the leaves that have grown since are beautiful and perfect - I don't know why the beetles ahve left, but they have.
