Unidentified flowering shrub?

My Aunty gave me this as a cutting a couple of years ago, she did not know what it is. This is its first year flowering, very pretty but I've still not got a clue what it is. If anyone can help I'd be very happy. I'm hoping to send her a photo to show how its doing but would love a name to go with it  :)

thought it looked familiar

it's a Deutzia Rubra apparently. Lovely plant, I want one. Nicer than the deutzias we've got  :)

Is it fragrant?  I can remember my mom talking about that plant in glowing terms.
The handle on your recliner does not qualify as an exercise machine.

Have to say I think the white variety looks stunning too  :)

that's the one thing about them - the flowers look as though they should be scented, but they're not
your Rubra one is much nicer than the white ones

nice shrub for a difficult shaded area
