Canna Lily

I just bought a Canna Lily from a shop along the road. These can be grown outside in Scotland and left there, is that correct? It has green leaves with red blotchy stripes on them. Any idea what variety it might be?

Yes this is what I heard, but a word of caution. Wrap it well when the frosts start as they are not happy with to much cold. If you can get some hessian sacking to wrap around the old growth and make sure that it has a rain coat over the top to keep the wet from the crown.
