It could be a burn made by a water droplet on the leaf intensifying the sunlight. One of the reasons I avoid watering during the day.

I think that it is a bit early yet for blight. At least, I hope it is ???

It might be early blight :(   I just picked lots of lower leaves on ours that look like early blight- many little dots of black and larger papery areas similar to your leaf...I'd take them off just in case...

My money is on sun scorch.  It doesn't look like blight to me which in my limited experience seems to start with browning of the stems.

Doesn't look like blight (either early or late really) My money would be on sun-scorch with a side bet on mechanical damage. Once you've seen blight you really can't mistake it for anything else, but until you've seen it it's kind of hard to explain precisely....

well I've taken off a few leaves on one plant some of which the entire leaf was dead, one or two on the plant next to it and i've got three more adjacent which are fine.

I've not watered because it's been raining for the past 7 days and i don't remember getting any decent sun in that time hence why i thought  it might be blight.

when watering i also only do it around 8/9pm as that's when i get up to the plot and i'm careful to water the base.

if rain water can cause sun scorch the other plants should've been effected also right?
