Do these look leggy I think they do but this is my first year growing my own runnerbean and french bean plants. I have now hardened them off ready to go in the ground over the weekend. Will they be ok or should I start again.

Yes, they should be ok. I sometimes plant leggy things a bit deeper in the soil. But if you're planting them out this weekend they will soon start growing in a more compact manner.

It can still get chilly at night (forcast 4C here in wharfedale tonight) so have a fleece/bubblewrap handy for a bit of protection.

They look fine - and will race up their canes.

If you have any seed left over, put one the hole you dig for the plant, and you'll have more beans later  ;D

And thanks for the tip about putting a seed in the hole I am sure I have some left.
