Here goes,
I have had to change the layout of the beds in the back to accommodate the larger strawbs.
So thinking that the old frame was to big for the other beds, I down sized it to go over another.
The old lites have come in handy for covering another one too. They will warm up the soil and get my seedlings off to a good start I hope.
So now I and the OH do not have to over reach into the frame to get to or put in trays of seeds and seedlings.
In the long run I do agree with her that the frame was to big and a monster like that is only for the market gardener not the home.
We shall see how productive it is throughout the coming season.

It is a slow job this as there is more hours at work than at home at the moment.

I have had to place the old lids over the frame until the weather breaks and gives me a chance to cover them with their new smaller ones.

that looks really nifty what is it that you've put around the wood (if that makes sense the plastic stuff)

Hi Le-y,

I used the good old bubble wrap to put around the sides of the frame.
Still not been able to put the new tops on it yet.

Well here is the first of many seeds to be used by the new look frame.
As this one is smaller, I was wondering whether it could still grow some cucumbers in it too?

Well,
Just to update on how the new look frame is doing.
Here are some photos of what is around in my frame at the moment.
In the first is Dahlia in large pot, freesias (a first) in a smaller pot, Tomato(Moneymaker), Cosmos, mixed annual climbers, annual dahlias, and lettuce.
In the second is a no show for love in a mist, zinnias, aubretia, and alyssum saxtile.
In the third is annual alyssum, scabious, African marigolds, and gazanias.
In the fourth is lettuce to be spaced out radish and spring onions.
