Weather forecast had a minimum of 3 for last night but it was a lot lower and it was   -2  here.   Probably Oxfordshire (Benson) at -2.2 will have had the lowest temperature in UK last night.  I do not think that the weather forecasts give enough warning.

There will be a lot of sorry looking courgettes around this morning.

I have used this site for some time and it never fails me. Just drop 1 or 2 degrees from the lowest temperature to get ground level temp.

I can look a week ahead and see what needs to be protected and what needs to be ignored.

Got them back now to put some tread on them

That looks an excellent site, Landimad, thankyou.  We had enough frost last night (derby/notts/leics border) to completely ice up the car - good thing I'd earthed up and fleeced everything.

We had a frost last night and my potatoes have suffered.  I expect they will put out some new leaves to compensate.

The 6 inch broad beans I planted on Friday were unaffected.
