earthing up potatoes

When do I stop earthing up?

At the mo I'm earthing up any growth that's showing as we keep having frost forecast (although we've not actually had any frost recently, touch wood!) I'll stop that when it gets warmer (if it ever does!)

But when are they earthed up enough?

Some of my spud bags are already full. I planted them about early to mid April.

When do I stop earthing up?

When ever you like! I only do it once! and considering your bags aree full then thats that for them.

ps I haven't earthed mine up yet simply because they haven't surfaced yet!

I did notice the ground has cracked and heaved this morning so I guess they will be through any day now!
