Almost ready with the new fruit/veggie garden so put in stuff that I have had in pots for ages.  What is the best way to plant raspberrys?  (Apart from twig side up!) In a clump? In a line?  What kind of support will they need.

In a line... with a post at each end and wires down the sides of the row...
Autumn ones rarely need support...

I'm sure TeeGee will be along soon to recommend his web site, but just in case he's a bit slow, here's the link.  :)

non-stick

Our inherited autumn ones are a breeze, prune 'em in the spring and harvest from July onwards right through to Oct (or later if the weather holds). No netting, no staking. Over 80lbs last year - were were popular with friends, relatives and neighbours

Vortex

My autumn raspberries always need some form of support - otherwise the weight of the fruit snaps the canes if we get strong winds.
