This year I am growing Broccoli Raab for the first time.
B. Raab Quaranta. A 40 day variety grown for the immature flowering stems.
B. Raab Sessanta. A 60 day variety grown for the immature flowering stems.
B Raab Novanta. A 90 day variety  grown for the immature flowering stems.
Apparently, it is one of the most widely grown vegetables in the world, but I have never seen it grown or for sale.
Has anyone grown it before or tasted it?

If it's the same as Cima di Rapa, I grew it last year, it went immediately to seed and was a waste of time! Perhaps it was just me...

Not just you  ;)

I grew the 40 day - the amount of broccolli bits you can pick is tiny because the plants are so small.  I reckon you'd need a massive patch of it for a dishful and it runs to seed before you can catch it and mine was seriously bitter too.

I looked up recipes and tried them with the few sprouting bits I caught in time, but not worthwhile for me.
